A man was recently arrested after officers saw him attempting to bathe with the window cleaning equipment at the gas pumps of a Jefferson convenience store.
Officers with the Jefferson Police Department were called about the man at an Athens St. convenience store. He had been criminally trespassed from the property previously.

Road rage incident reported in Jefferson
Someone recently reported a road rage incident involving a firearm in Jefferson.
Officers with the JPD were called for the incident of aggravated assault, reckless conduct and pointing or aiming a gun/pistol at another on April 6 on the I-85 ramp.
The complainants said the suspect’s vehicle cut them off on the ramp and they later passed the vehicle while traveling on Hwy. 129. The suspect then reportedly pulled out what appeared to be a handgun and pointed it at the rear of the vehicle before putting it back down.

- two-vehicle wreck with one injury on Hwy. 129. No one was transported.
- miscellaneous report on Athens St. where a man reported someone dropped of a U-Haul truck that had been reported stolen, but officers said the truck had not been reported stolen.
- miscellaneous report on Lantern Dr. where a juvenile didn’t feel safe going home.
- hit and run on I-85 where a vehicle struck another when merging.
- death investigation on Hwy. 129 where a man was found deceased in a vehicle. He reportedly pulled into a parking lot, but never got out of the vehicle. Officers found a green leafy substance in the vehicle. The man’s girlfriend had reported him missing after he didn’t return from visiting a friend.
- theft by taking on Dry Pond Rd. where a man reported another driver switched his truck’s side-step with a damaged one.
- burglary on Professional Dr. where a man reported a business truck and equipment were stolen.
- death investigation on Kelly Ln. where an adult was found deceased at a residence.
- miscellaneous report on Lantern Dr. where a man was upset over a custody issue.
- two-vehicle wreck with one injury on Hwy. 129. No one was transported.
- civil matter on Grand Oak Dr. where a woman reported her husband took her jewelry.
